Bible Story:

Moses and the Ten Commandments

*As the weather gets cooler make sure your child has a coat every day. We will go outside every day unless it is raining. They may bring hats and gloves. Please label everything. Do not send scarves. Scarves can be dangerous on the playground equipment.

*Please return the school picture proofs even if you are not ordering.

*Please consider ordering pies from the 3rd grade. The pies are delicious, and the 3rd grade uses the proceeds to buy gifts for children in need.  All pie orders are due Friday.

*Thanksgiving holiday – Nov. 26-28

We will be in school on Monday and Tuesday only.

Earn Your Feathers  Your child will earn turkey feathers based on 1st grade skills that they complete. These skills should be completed by the end of November.

Christmas program – Thursday, Dec. 4   6:00pm

All the girls will need angel costumes and wings.

All the boys will be shepherds.

*If you have any extra stationary at your house we would love to use it in our writing center. Note cards, holiday cards, pretty paper, etc. would be greatly appreciated!

It is very important for your child to read their “read and sign” books to you on the nights that they come home in the BEE book. These books are geared specifically for your child’s reading level. When they return these books to school we are going to put them in a special “reading box” that belongs to your child. During reading groups the students will use these books again for extra reading practice.
