Homework Policy

All students will start each nine weeks with a 100% homework average in each subject.  Each time an assignment is not completed a -10 will be deducted from the homework in that subject area.  If the homework is incomplete a -5 will be deducted.  Every student must turn in a paper when homework is collected or checked.  If a student did not do the work, a piece of paper must be turned in stating why. This paper must be signed by a parent and returned in the Wednesday folder.  After losing a total of 40 homework points per month = homework detention to be served.  

Grading Policy

Tests, projects and reports will count for 50% of the grade.  Quizzes and classwork will count for 25% of the grade,  and homework will count for 25% of the grade.   

 

5th & 6Th Grade Discipline Policy

Student begins with a weekly conduct grade of 100%. Conduct points will be deducted for not following these rules.

Carefully follow directions

Hands, feet, object, and unkind words to yourself

Respect people and property

I’ll stay on task

Safety first, last, and always

Talk at appropriate times

 

Rewards are listed in the classroom.  :)

Consequences for loss of conduct points:

Ø   Loss of conduct points below 70, in one week, = after school detention

Ø   After 3 conduct detentions= In school suspension

Ø   Multiple (5) detentions in one semester results in out of school suspension
