Cursillo is an international movement of dynamic spiritual growth within the church. It is a once in a lifetime opportunity for Catholics. Cursillo (pronounced cur-see-o) is a 3 day weekend retreat experience for people wanting to develop their spiritual life, strengthen their relationship with God, and live better Christian lives every day.
This year marks the 50th anniversary of the first Cursillo in Nashville which was held at St. Henry in November 1967. During these past 50 years, approximately 5000 Catholics in the Diocese of Nashville have made Cursillo. In celebration of this anniversary, St. Edward Parish encourages both our men and women to participate in the upcoming Cursillo weekends: Men’s Cursillo is on February 23-26, 2017 while the Women’s Cursillo will be held March 2-5, both at Camp Marymont.
50th Anniversary Celebration of Cursillo in Nashville will be held at St. Henry on November 11, 2017 in the Fellowship Hall for Cursillistas from all the Diocese.
