What Our Class Will Learn The Second Grading Period

Religion – We will work on the following units:

Math –

We will work on  the following chapters:

• Count and read Numbers 0 -5
• Ordinal Numbers
• Plane Shapes and Fractions
• Solid Shapes
• Represent and Read Numbers 6 - 12

 Phonics and Reading Readiness–

We will ...

• identify letters and sounds in words
• learn short vowel sounds
• listen to stories and identify characters, setting, main idea,etc.
• listening skills
• Identify beginning, middle, and ending sounds in words
• provide the word after given the letter sounds in words.
• identify sight words we have learned so far

Handwriting –

We will -

·          make sure we are holding the pencil correctly.

·         learn proper strokes for letters and numbers.

·         Develop proper handwriting techniques.

·          

Social Studies -

We will talk about Thanksgiving and Christmas celebrations.
