Baptism

Dear Parents,

Congratulations! With great joy, we welcome your child as a new member of the mystical Body of Christ. Baptism is a great moment in the life of a family and the life of the parish, but greater yet in the life of the one baptized. It is by this Sacrament that one is admitted into God’s family. The individual becomes a member of “a chosen race, a Baptism Certificate loyal priesthood, a holy nation, and a people God calls his own.”

However, before we can set a date for the Baptism, there are some procedures listed below that need to be observed:

• Your family must register in St. Edward Parish. If you have not yet registered, please register online here.
• Our Baptism Class is offered on the first Tuesday of the month. Both parents and Godparents are required to attend our baptism class. Class is available virtually so that parents, godparents, etc. can attend from wherever they live.  Please contact the church office for more information.
• The Godparent forms must be filled out by the Godparent’s home parish. Please send completed forms to the church office.

The "Requirements for Baptismal Godparents" form will help you in choosing a Godparent or Godparents.
